Dr. Hamza Sheikh | Implant Dentist

BDS, MFDS RCS(Ed.), MSc. (Dental Implantology)
GDC no. 154800

Dr Sheikh qualified form Kings College London in 2008 and began his dental implant education and training in 2010, after spending time in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery as part of his dental foundation training and passing his Royal College of Surgeons exams in Edinburgh.

He received a Masters qualification in Implantology in 2012 – the youngest dentist on the Dental Implantology course at Manchester University to do so – and has since practiced primarily implant dentistry, from simple single-tooth implants to full arch complex implant procedures.

Dr Sheikh has treated over a 1000 implant patients over the last 12 years at his practices, and has placed and restored over 5000 implants.

Dr Sheikh also has a formal qualification is Dental Sedation (with Distinction) from University College London (UCL) to keep patients relaxed during complex procedures.

He is an accredited trainer in Dental Sedation with the Royal College of Surgeons.

He has trained under world-renowned surgeons across UK and Europe – and still continues to do so – to refine his techniques that help his patients achieve the best possible end result.

One implant dentist does it all:

  • Dr Sheikh is the sole clinician who will be providing the dental treatment from start to finish from the initial consultation to the implant surgery and final tightening of your fixed teeth.

  • Many other practices will have a ‘treatment co-ordinator’ (who are not dentists) to carry out the initial consultation, which only gives very basic, generalised overview about what you require.

  • If you have treatment with Dr Sheikh, you will see him from the very beginning, commencing with the complimentary, free of charge initial appointment, at which he will give you a more definitive dental implant opinion customised to you.

  • There will be no ‘treatment co-ordinators’ or ‘visiting surgeons’, who attend for the day and disappear.

Dr. Sheikh lectures on various implant topics and mentors dentists training to either restore or place dental implants.

For dentists who are interested in learning about the theoretical and clinical practice of implant dentistry, Dr Sheikh is happy to offer one-on-one training for dentists who are interested.

I began my career in dentistry 35 years ago. Justine qualified from Manchester University in 2006. Through this time I’ve strived to improve and keep my knowledge current in a fast paced industry. Like all areas of medicine dentistry has evolved rapidly and patient treatments and care has been greatly enhanced.

In my role as an Oral Health Specialist I’m dedicated to providing my patients with the highest standard of care , treatments and advice.

My training and learning has never stopped as I aim to keep my knowledge up to
date with regular continued professional development and training , helping me to give my patients the most informative care plan tailored to their individual
treatment needs currently and in the future to achieve and maintain oral health.

I find my career very rewarding and the sense of great satisfaction is amazing to
feel with each patient I’ve successfully treated and helped to place on a long term plan of oral health. Achieving a successful outcome in my patient’s treatment journey is a joint effort between both myself and the patient, and I’m 100% dedicated to making their treatment and care bespoke to their individual needs to achieve our goals.

Like everything in life we need a balance. I’m very blessed with a family who have
always supported me in my chosen career and choices I’ve made through the
years and it’s been their help and unwavering support that has been my rock
through the years.

During the 2021 pandemic , we were blessed with a grandson Joseph who has
just lifted us up to new heights of happiness.
I look forward to meeting you in the clinic, and helping YOU TOO to reach your
treatment goals!
